Here is an excellent quote:
10% inspiration, and 90% perspiration.
It is good to be inspired to be a doctor. However, it takes much perspiration to be constituted as a doctor. Inspiration is just a start, it comes down to how much effort you are willing to put in. It is the same spiritually. It is good to be inspired to love the Lord and read the Bible, but are we being constituted with the truth?
Speaking of being constituted with the truth, it takes 5 A's:
Apprehension: Learn and understand the truth with our mind
Acknowledgment: Approve God's speaking as logos (= constant word or printed word)
Appreciation: Desire and treasure the truth
Accumulation: Exercise our will to retain/remember what we learn. If it is not in our memory, we have not learned yet.
Application: Follow God's anointing as rhema (= instant word or God's timely speaking within us)
May the Lord gain our heart, our energy, our time, and our whole being for His eternal purpose. Amen.
